CoCr ElectroPolish is designed for electropolishing Co-Cr alloys used in medical device manufacturing. It is a relatively mild acidic blend containing an organic solvent. The solution allows good efficiency of electropolishing at reasonable currents (amperages) and voltages.
MicroPolish II and MicroPolish are two inhibited deoxidizers formulated for titanium and titanium alloys including Nitinol. Each product acts as a cleaner/deoxidizer and slow chemical polish effective in removing surface metal oxides but only slowly etching base metals. Of the two polishes, MicroPolish II is slightly less aggressive. Overall, the etch rates are low for both polishes when compared to traditional deoxidizing chemistries. They are particularly suitable for applications where avoiding dimensional and weight losses is of critical importance (for example in devices utilizing fine wires).
MicroClean EV3 is a deoxidizer for removing oxides on titanium and titanium alloys including Nitinol. It has a relatively benign safety profile due to the absence of hydrofluoric acid. This feature makes this product relatively less aggressive but the product’s effectiveness can be increased by heating.
