MicroClean™ 2151
Microclean 2151 is formulated for cleaning titanium and titanium alloys. Without hydrofluoric acid and with weaker acidity it is a rather mild chemistry, great for lighter oxides and environments with stricter chemical safety rules.

Alkaline Descale is designed to descale CoCr (cobalt chrome) and other chromium based alloys before electropolishing. It will convert insoluble oxides to soluble forms and thus assure uniform subsequent processing.
Medical components formed from nitinol, other titanium alloys and chrome alloys are often extruded, drawn and oxidized in the formation process, which creates organometallic compounds and oxides. These compounds are often difficult to remove without etching the metal, and therefore must be destroyed to be removed. While simple organic soils can be removed with many degreasers, such cleaning products are likely to be ineffective when the soils are “baked-in”. MicroClean Ti is a remedy for such situations and assures that the subsequent steps of deoxidizing and electropolishing are fully effective.
ChemPolish Ti6Al4V is formulated to deoxidize and chemically polish titanium grade 5 and other high Ti alloys. Depending on an incoming surface condition the degree of polishing obtained with this product may be sufficient or a good step before electropolishing.
ChemPolish Ti6Al4V will remove base metal very slowly. If a more aggressive chemistry is desired, treat initially with MicroPolish II (RDZ2059 (available from RBP), then treat with ChemPolish Ti6Al4V.
