01/30/2013–RBP Chemical Technology Inc., Milwaukee, Wis., a developer, manufacturer and distributor of high performance chemicals and consumable supplies, announced today its asset acquisition of RD Chemical Company, Mountain View, California-based RD Chemical has been supplying application-specific process chemicals for the printed circuit board, chemical milling, medical implant device, and semiconductor packaging and test equipment industries for more than 30 years.
“We have been collaborating with RD Chemical over the past year and are really excited to bring their product development expertise into RBP, where we can leverage our global production and distribution capabilities to the benefit of our customers in the printing, electronics, medical, mining and many other sectors,” says Mark Kannenberg, president, RBP Chemical Technology.
To maintain its essential Silicon Valley presence, RBP will retain RD Chemical’s office and research space in Mountain View, and manufacturing and warehousing in Oakland, California. Rudy Sedlak, founder of RD Chemical, will join RBP as Director of Applied Technology.
“RBP participates in many of the business areas that RD Chemical is involved in, and will bring a whole new level of customer service and technical support to RD’s customer base,” adds Sedlak.
Sedlak and the RD Chemical team will join RBP’s surface chemistry innovation group. Together they will combine problem-solving on the front lines with breakthrough new product development behind the scenes, bringing a new level of customer service and technical support to the industries RBP serves.
